Track Reopen/Glue treatment applied

The track is now reopened with a fresh layer of the glue treatment, there is now more traction than ever before and the track will not blow out like it did with the new layout!

New Layout/Track Closed

The track will be closed Friday (7/23) and Saturday (7/24) for a new
layout and we will reopen Wednesday (7/28). The pipe was pulled out
Thursday, we will build the track with a bobcat Friday and Saturday, and
lay the pipe down the next few days. We will be at the track Friday and
Saturday starting at 7pm going into the morning so if you want to help
out, your next practice is free.

We just purchased a transponder (computer lap counting) system so within
the next few months we will have weekly races.

New Summer Hours!

Due to the heat of Saturday's and Sunday's and popularity of Wednesday
nights, our summer hours will be:

Wednesday night-6-9pm
Friday night-6-9pm
Saturday night-6-9pm

Starting Wednesday, June 9th.

The track lighting is great and covers the entire track and pit area.

Now open Wednesdays!

The track will be open Wednesday from 5-8pm on May 19th. It is light until 7:30 and we will turn the lights on for the track and pits after that. $5 to practice. You might want to bring a small light just in case though.

The track is still open on weekends.

We added another layer of the Durasoil glue treatment to the track and refaced some of the jumps and blown-out corners.

We have been getting good turnouts as of lately, 20-30 racers on Saturday and 10-20 racers on Sunday. Thank you to all who came out!

Practice is Saturday and Sunday as usual, but we are getting 4-5 more EZups for shade!

The handicap drivers stand has been built and approved by the city, so the track is officially open to the public! Pictures of the ramp are on the Pictures/Video link on the website.

We are thinking about putting in a new layout in the next few weeks, more information on that later!

The track had been worked on during the week to fix potholes and the faces of jumps.

Practice every weekend from 10-6 Saturday and 12-6 Sunday unless otherwise noted on the website.

The track will be OPEN Saturday the 27th and Sunday the 28th. Saturday from 10-6 and Sunday from 12-6.

Palm Desert RC Raceway will be OPEN on Saturday, March 20th, but CLOSED on Sunday, March 21st for the RCX Show.

Private Opening

The track will have a private opening for legal purposes(bascially anybody can come though) on March 13th and 14th, Saturday and Sunday. It will be a $5 donation for practice each day.

We are getting a tractor and maybe a water truck since ther eis no water yet brought in Friday, 2/11/10 to shape the jumps. Unfortunately, we cannot bring in any more dirt as the facility is flooded already.

Edison came by a few days ago to turn on the electric, and electrical work is being done now.

Palm Desert City Council unamiously approved the track on 1-14-10. The insurance was activated 1-22-10 and now the only thing required is to get the lease agreement notarized. I expect to get the key on Monday. Lately I have been wokring on getting all the legal and business part of the track done.

City Council meeting January 14th, 2010 which will be the final step of the lease process.

The 1-year lease is submitted. There will be a 1-2 month process for the track to go through different departments, then city council, to approve/deny the lease proposal.

The track progress is going very well. After I give the city my site plan, there will only need to be a few more things required before I can get the lease.
